This house in Fulham is home to a bustling family of four. It is a place to relax, to gather as a family and it is also a home where friends and extended family are routinely invited to gather and share.
Textures, colours and attention to material detail were our starting points. The materials came to define the use and the mood of the rooms.
Calm, contemporary greys and whites paired with modern furnishings from European makers in leather, metal, marble and linen were used for light filled, causal family gathering spaces such as the kitchen/breakfast and family room.
Soft, powdery blues in hues from light to dark were selected for velvet sofas, dining chairs, and silk rugs for the living and dining room. Glass lighting and hints of gold give these rooms a soft formality which alters from day to night creating elegant spaces in which to invite guests.
This is a bespoke home created for the four individuals who inhabit it and well suited to the life they wished to live within its walls.
